MSP Survey

This is an anonymous form, (everyone is scanning the same QR code or generic link), so if you want to discuss something further (or even just rant) please add your email at the end. (Note: we will not be sharing any of this with anyone, it’s strictly to help us help you!)

Nautilus has been supporting MSPs for 20+ years as an HPE reseller, but MSPs need a lot more than just somebody to help them pick out servers and drop-ship. (We all have IT backgrounds and understand that world we live in? It’s Complicated!)

Since we now work with hundreds of MSPs across the country, and thousands of SMEs and Fortune entities, we have a little bit of leverage with distributors nowadays and want to expand our services to support everyone better! Sure there’s ASCII, and PAX8 and various other groups and vendors, but we want to do a few things differently:

- only provide best-in-class options (i.e. if we have it you know it’s good)

- better vendor integration behind the scenes so we can deliver what you need faster and better

- and of course, better pricing!

It’s designed to help us understand what's working in your current technology stack, where the gaps are, and what new capabilities or combinations of features would genuinely make a difference for your business.

Your honest feedback — both the good and the frustrating — directly shapes which vendors and solutions we prioritize adding to our line-card. We're especially interested in knowing what’s actually missing from your stack, whether because it doesn’t exist in an MSP-friendly shape, or whether the cost of all the other even-more-important bits simply precludes it.

This survey should take approximately 15–20 minutes to complete, (or five if you speed-run it).

Open-ended questions are optional but highly valued — even a few sentences of context help us understand the "why" behind your choices. (Geek humor also appreciated! :)

What works well about your EDR, and what doesn't? (Please address strengths, weaknesses, and any features you wish it had — including SOC/MDR integration, alerting quality, false positive rates, reporting, etc.)

How do you currently manage NETWORK SWITCHES across your client base? (Tool name, e.g., Auvik, Domotz, Meraki Dashboard, UniFi Network, manual/SSH, emailed cable pinouts from a pic of a napkin sketch from a retired engineer because the customer e-cycled that one proprietary cable for a vendor that’s been gone so long it doesn’t even have a Wikipedia entry)

How do you currently manage PRINTERS (deployment, monitoring, supplies, drivers)? (Tool name, e.g., PrinterLogic, PaperCut, Printix, Tricerat, native RMM scripts, etc. Or if you don’t deal with printers because reasons, the name of the Office Space character you like most from the scene you already know we’re referring to! :)

How do you manage MICROSOFT 365 / AZURE / ENTRA environments across tenants? (Tool name, e.g., CIPP, Augmentt, Rewst, ScalePad ControlMap, native admin centers with a trained monkey we call “Smoke” who checks to see what UI elements got moved or broken overnight, custom scripts, etc.)
