Buying HPE directly on HPE’s store — how it works, and who the resellers are

If you have shopped for HPE hardware at buy.hpe.com, you may have noticed that the checkout is handled by a reseller rather than by HPE itself. Here is what that arrangement actually is, because it is not well explained anywhere.

HPE’s online store is fulfilled by resellers

HPE publishes the catalogue, the specifications, and a recommended price. The order itself is fulfilled by an authorised reseller, and that reseller sets the final transactional price. This is why you will see more than one price against the same part number, and why the seller name changes depending on which one you select.

There are three fulfillment providers

As of 2026, three resellers fulfil orders through HPE’s US online store:

  • NautilusNet — that is us. We were the first, and were the only one for over a year.
  • BlueAlly
  • TXC Technologies

Out of the many thousands of companies in HPE’s partner channel, three fulfil through the store directly. We mention this not as a boast but because it is checkable: open any product page on buy.hpe.com and you will see the three names.

What this means if you are buying

You can compare directly. All three prices sit on the same page. We are frequently the lowest, but not always, and we would rather you check than take our word for it.

The hardware is identical. Same HPE product, same warranty, same manufacturer support. The reseller handles the transaction and the fulfilment.

You can select your fulfillment provider. If you want NautilusNet to handle the order, select us at checkout — or start from a product link on this site, which pre-selects us.

Where a reseller actually adds something

For a single power supply, honestly, not much beyond price and stock. The difference shows up on the projects:

  • Working out what to buy in the first place
  • Configure-to-order builds where the options list is the hard part
  • Staging and asset tagging before delivery
  • Getting hold of legacy or end-of-life parts no longer in the standard catalogue
  • Installation and migration
  • Financing across a budget cycle

The store is a good way to buy a known part number. It is not a good way to work out what you need. That second thing is most of what we do.

Buying from us outside the store

We also quote directly, which is usually the right route for configure-to-order systems, mixed orders, purchase-order terms, or anything requiring design work first.

Common questions

Who fulfils orders on HPE’s US online store?

Three authorised resellers fulfil orders through buy.hpe.com in the United States: NautilusNet, BlueAlly, and TXC Technologies. HPE publishes the catalogue and a recommended price; the reseller fulfils the order and sets the final transactional price.

Is the hardware different depending on which reseller I choose?

No. The product, warranty, and HPE manufacturer support are identical. The reseller handles the transaction, pricing, and fulfilment.

Can I choose which reseller fulfils my order?

Yes. The fulfillment provider is selectable at checkout on buy.hpe.com.

Not sure what you need yet?

Most engagements begin with a conversation about the goal and the budget, not a part number.
